The computer has yet to be liberated from the clutches of a painful illness.
Since I am broke from trying to heal the poor thing, I don't plan to stay on for very long here at Alt.coffee.

Before I begin, I must say that I was incredibly inspired by some of the goings on at the DNC.

Can you say Barak Obama???

The man was absolutely electrifying, and it helps that he is quite nice on the eyes. Of course, the only wat all the dear, sweet neo-cons out there could only try to disparage him was to refer to him as "Osama". Wow.

I only hope that he continues to ascend as a public figure.

And in case your head is somewhere up someone's rump, you may have heard the President's recent flub. I'm paraphrasing, but it went something like this:

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

I nearly fell off my couch laughing at that!

Truer words hath never been spake.

In case you were wondering, here's a quick, non-political update:
1. My darling beast has stopped shitting melted Hershey kisses all over the floor. I've come to the conclusion that his recent descent into poor behavior stems from the loss of his beloved nemesis, Baby (who, as you know, died a few months ago).
2. My gimpy leg seems to have healed itself, thankfully. I speculate that it had something to do with my spill on my bike at Lake Minnewaska on the fourth of July.
3. Love is grand. No need to elaborate.
4. Oh, and doesn't jealousy suck?

I crack myself up.

Anyway, I'm still hoping that the computer will be up in a jiff, so I won't continue (minutes...ticking...wallet...draining...).
