Things have been not-so-nice lately and I am daydreaming of a better place.
Loss seems quite rampant in my life these days. First it was my precious girl, and now it is my once best friend. We are not lost to each other by death. Not really.
I mourn it in any case.

Hmmm...

Yup...I've been low lately.

I am redeemed by the love of a good man.
It's what makes me more land than water (to borrow a phrase from a song) and I am grateful for it. My feet plant firmly despite those natural things that come with time--- those things that erode and eat away and wash away at a friendship.

What are they again that wash away the good things that we once knew in our friends? Is it just growing older (though not in the least bit wiser?)?

Despite this feeling of being laid so low, the hope that resides in the love of a phenomenal human being urges me to carry on...and I do.

After all, what else can be done?
