Thanks to everyone.

Yesterday, after seeing her deteriorate so rapidly in the space of a day, we decided to put her to sleep.

She wasn't eating or drinking and then, toward the end, she began to bleed from her mouth.

I decided that it was enough. She was suffering, and I couldn't let that happen.

We called a pet hospital and waited for my brother to return from his rehearsal. Then, he drove us--- me, my mom (who came all the way from Brooklyn to say goodbye), and my Old Man--- to the hospital.

We all pet her and told her that we loved her as she started to drift off, but in the last few moments before she actually fell asleep from the tranquilizer, I called her name and she turned her head to look at me. She gazed at me as she went under and I told her that I loved her.

Then the Dr. gave her the euthanasia solution and she passed.

My beautiful Baby was put to rest yesterday at around 4:30 pm. She was surrounded by all of us who loved her so very, very much.

We drove upstate and buried her in my Old Man's parent's backyard where his beloved dog also rests.

I can't believe she's gone.

I've been watching my male cat, Happy, and he keeps walking around the apartment, looking around. I don't think he knows she's not around yet but I know that he knows that something is missing. He senses something is amiss, but he hasn't exactly figured it out.

It's going to be too damn hard...
