As a hobby (and as a way to blow off some steam), I visit quite a few political discussion forums.
One that I visit on occasion is called the "Opinion Forum".

There's a group of folks there who have pretty much called for the outright wholesale extermination of ALL Iraqis, whom more than a few refer to as "cockroaches" (this is in regards to the murder of Nick Berg and attacks on our troops).

"Kill em all...", sing-eth the choir, "Kill em all...the women...the children..."

Sound rather goose-stepping, genocidally (is that a word???) Nazi-ish to you?

It does to me.

What cracks me up is that just a little over a year ago, these same folks were saying how we were there to liberate those poor people from the yoke of Saddam Hussein's oppression.

Now, I'll pretend that I actually agree that yes--- that's what we were there for .

Hmmm...

What did they think would happen?

We bomb the shite out of them, maim and destroy their families...what else could have happened?

Did we liberate them from Saddam Hussein?

Sure.

We've also liberated quite a few innocent men, women, and children from their bodies, and doing so, created a bunch of people from the survivors who pretty much loathe our existence now.

Should we really be all that surprised by this kind of retaliation?

If we bomb them-- innocents and terrorists alike--- with the premise of getting rid of the terrorists in their midsts, won't we essentially make enemies of OTHER Islamic peoples all over the world (ahem--- Islam being one of the fastest growing religions in the world, by the way), thus potentially creating more terrorists?
