We'll be going to Scotland in a few weeks and my Old Man suggested that we build my girl a cairn.
Cairns are memorials for the dead.
Basically, it's a pile of rocks. They're scattered all around the Scottish countryside in memory of those loved ones who have passed on.
I need to do this.
It does comfort me that right now, she rests next to his beloved dog in, as he calls it, "sacred ground". I like to think she is not there alone...
